Making payments

You can use Apple Pay in any stores where you can tap and pay, as well as participating apps and websites – wherever you see the Buy with Apple Pay mark. 

Paying in stores

To pay with an iPhone with Face ID, double-click the side button, glance at your screen, then hold the top of your phone near the reader until you see Done and a tick. If your Face ID doesn’t work, you’ll be prompted to enter the passcode.

To pay with an iPhone with Touch ID, place your finger on Touch ID and hold the top of your phone near the reader until you see Done and a tick.

To pay with Apple Watch, double-click the side button and hold your Apple Watch near the reader until you feel a gentle tap. When your strap on your Apple Watch, you’ll be prompted to enter the passcode.

Paying on an app 

To pay within an app, select Apple Pay at checkout and confirm the payment using your Face ID, Touch ID or passcode. For Apple Watch, double-click the side button. When your payment is successful, you'll see Done and a tick on the screen.

Paying on a website

To pay within Safari using your iPhone or iPad, select Apple Pay at checkout and confirm the payment using your Face ID, Touch ID or passcode.

To pay within Safari using your Mac, select Apple Pay and use your iPhone or Apple Watch to complete the payment. When your payment is successful, you'll see Done and a tick on the screen.
